What is The Emotion Code?
The Emotion Code is a method of recognizing and releasing trapped emotions in the body that cause mental and physical manifestations in your life. It was created by renowned holistic physician and lecturer Dr Bradley Nelson DC.
Emotions can become trapped within your body a number of ways. If you experience something that had a strong emotion tied to it, it can remain. If you are conditioned to believe a certain way, it can cause an emotion related to that belief to stick. You can even inherit an emotion, passed down from your parents through your DNA.
It seems we’re discovering more and more reasons everyday to pay closer attention to our mind body connection.
These trapped emotions can cause stress in your body. This means manifestations of physical ailments, sickness, mental issues and even problems in your lifestyle.
The Emotion Code recognizes 60 emotions that could be trapped inside your body somewhere causing problems for you. Emotions are connected to certain organs in the body. This means a certain emotion is going to cause problems with a certain organ.
These can be released through energy work, magnets and recognizing and letting go of anything you may be holding onto.
I had a great talk with my friend Dean Abraham who is a student of The Emotion Code. He is hugely inspiring by nature and never fails to impress and teach! I hope you enjoy our video as much as I enjoyed making it!

New Age vs Ancient Knowledge
People refer to these sorts of things as “New Age” which isn’t at all accurate. These things stem from ancient knowledge. Our ancestors were keenly aware of these things.
Over the years we have become more focused on the physical and less aware of the spiritual and energy of the universe. We are only becoming more attuned with that which we have forgotten.
These things being:
- Energy work
- Intuition
- Manifesting
- Self actualization
- Co-creation
We instinctively know how to do these things. It’s just a matter of letting go of what we’ve been conditioned to believe and what we think should or can happen. It’s relearning how to let go and simply allow. To simply do.
Everything is energy. If we can let go of perceiving everything as physical and open ourselves up to the possibilities associated with the non-physical, we can become our truly limitless selves we were always meant to be.
Raising your vibrations
Nothing is more important that your happiness. When you focus on what makes you happy, you’ll easily and naturally raise your vibrations. This, in turn, will manifest everything you wish for and more.
In the video, I talked about people stressing themselves out over day to day things because they accept that life is just about working to get by. They believe that happiness is a luxury and that being miserable is often an inevitability.
Dean points out that it is just a matter of how you are prioritizing things. People tend to prioritize the rent over their own happiness.
Sure that’s easy for us to say cause we XYZ. Right? No. It can be true for you too.
It’s just a matter of how you think about it. Everything’s mindset. If you think something is hard, it’s going to remain hard. If you think something is or want it to be to be easy, you’ll find a way for it to be easy.
Allow yourself to find a way to make that which you desire attainable. Make it smaller than what it is.
As Dean explains: Don’t think of it as wanting a million dollars. That’s a big thing to acquire. Think of it as a piece of paper, as in the form of a check. All you want is a piece of paper. That’s simple and totally attainable.
I like to tell people to follow their passions. Follow and focus on what makes you happy and sets your soul on fire. Dean has done this and shows us all the power behind aligning your physical world with what your soul desires. He says in the video that he feels his vibrations rise every time he thinks about The Emotion Code.
This is how I feel about my work and it’s how I believe everyone should feel about theirs.
3 states of being
Dean explains his 3 states of being:
- Lost
- Finding
- Found
People always look to other people to help them with their problems. They look around outside for the answers to happiness, fulfillment, spirituality. Everything this life has to offer.
All of the answers to these questions are within you already. Other people can not help you answer them. They can only point you in directions that may lead you to find them yourself. It’s all about self actualization. Knowing yourself inside and out and knowing how to help yourself.
When you are in a state of lost, you aren’t attuned to your inner self. You don’t know how or where to find happiness or fulfillment. You are essentially lost in your world, following the crowd and going through the motions of life.
You think life happens to you and that you have no control over anything. You believe other people should help you and that you are a victim of your circumstances.
When you are in a state of finding, you are becoming awakened to your own potential and realizing the power that you posses within you. You are beginning to follow your heart and your interests. You are finding yourself and learning that you have so much to offer to the world. You’re becoming aware of how to fix your problems and create your reality.
When you are in a state of found, you have become fully aware of all of your capabilities. You are no longer trying to figure out how to help yourself, you do it with ease. Your life is exactly everything you’ve ever wished for. You are happy, content and flowing through life with ease. You are probably following your passions and helping people in the process. Making the world a better place for us all.
I hope to lead people into this last state of being. I cannot get you there. But I can provide you with the guidance and inspiration that will help you to get yourself there.
As Dean explains: You just need a little clarity.
Co-creation
Your reality is a reflection of what you believe. Dean catches me reflecting my conditioning onto others about 27 minutes into the video. Since I was raised to believe one way, but now believe another, I have been reflecting these old beliefs from others toward myself.
What this means is that, since I believed that XYZ is what other people believed, I felt that others were judging me about what I now believed. This is a false belief that was holding me back from fully releasing who I truly am. Thanks Dean! You’re great!
Dean tell us a story about a man who likes to go into a bar every day for a drink. And every day he’s met with an attitude from the bartender and a seemingly hostile environment.
One day he goes to walk into the bar and he notices the bar tender and decides not to. Then he thinks about it for a moment and decides to take a different approach. The man thinks maybe she’s hostile because I view her that way.
He decides to give her a chance and goes in and ends up having a the greatest experience he has ever had in her presence. The only thing that was different from all of his other visits was the way he viewed her and felt about the situation.
We are all projecting our beliefs onto our reality. Our reality is formed from how we see ourselves and our world. By manipulating our thought processes, we can manipulate our world into what we wish it to be.
You have the choice on how you react to every situation that comes across your path. The way you react gives way to manifestations in one direction or another. Choose to react positively and positive manifestations will occur.
