It was really hard to title this episode/post because we spent the first half discussing EFT and the 2nd half discussing the various daily and work cultures around the world in comparison to the states.
EFT tapping, a seemingly simple technique of tapping acupressure points, has gained traction as a tool for stress relief and emotional healing. But beyond its practical applications lies a philosophical depth, a potential to unravel the very fabric of our being and rewrite our narratives.
Imagine our minds as tapestries woven from experiences, beliefs, and emotions. Each thread, a thought, a memory, a judgment, is knotted to others, forming intricate patterns of perception and behavior. Some threads are smooth, others frayed, tangled, or even knotted into painful burdens.
EFT, like a weaver’s comb, gently nudges these threads, loosening the knots, releasing the tension. It invites us to acknowledge the threads, to feel their texture, their emotional charge, without judgment. The act of tapping, a rhythmic dance of fingertips on skin, becomes a conduit for the observation of our inner landscape with an intention of non-attachment.
This gentle observation, is the crux of EFT’s philosophical power. It shatters the illusion of a fixed, rigid self, the self entangled in the tapestry’s knots. Instead, we allow ourselves to become embrace the truth of being fluid and ever-changing. A kaleidoscope of experiences rather than a singular, static entity.
As we tap, the threads shift. The painful memories soften, their grip loosens. The limiting beliefs, once unquestioned, begin to unravel. We see them for what they are – threads woven in a specific context, not truths etched into our souls.
This unraveling isn’t about erasing the past. It’s about acknowledging it, releasing its hold, and making space for new threads. We can weave in gratitude, self-compassion, acceptance. We can replace self-doubt with affirmations of strength and resilience.
This act of reweaving becomes a powerful metaphor for self-creation. We are not passive recipients of our narratives; we are the weavers, choosing which threads to hold, which to loosen, which to discard entirely. We can rewrite our stories, not with brute force, but with gentle observation and the rhythmic pulse of our fingertips.
EFT, then, transcends mere stress relief. It becomes a tool for self-inquiry, a practice in mindfulness, a dance with our own existence. It invites us to confront the knots and tangles, not with fear or blame, but with curiosity and acceptance. And in that acceptance, we find the freedom to rewrite the tapestry, to weave a self that is whole, authentic, and vibrantly alive.
So, the next time you tap, remember – you’re not just soothing a wound. You’re engaging in a philosophical act, a tapestry of self-discovery, and weaving a future you choose. Tap with intention, tap with awareness, and tap into the power of your own story.
And Then on the Culture Point:
From the indigenous communities who prioritize connection to nature, we could learn the art of revering the Earth and nurturing its resources. From the collectivist societies who value the needs of the group above individual desires, we could glean the power of shared responsibility and compassion. From cultures that embrace emotional expression and open communication, we could learn to break down the walls of shame and silence that often surround our deepest feelings.
This future won’t be built on uniformity, but on a kaleidoscope of perspectives, a tapestry woven with threads of diverse approaches and solutions. It won’t be about erasing differences, but about appreciating the unique strengths each culture brings to the table. It will be a world where children, exposed to this tapestry of humanity, can choose to weave their own threads, informed by the wisdom of countless ancestors, yet free to create something entirely new.
The path to this future won’t be easy. It demands humility, the willingness to listen and learn, the courage to challenge our own assumptions. But as we move forward, hand in hand, thread by thread, we may just create a world where every child, regardless of background or circumstance, has the chance to thrive, to contribute their unique color to the tapestry, and to weave a future where humanity flourishes in all its glorious diversity.
Let us not be afraid of the tangled threads, the unfamiliar colors. Let us be weavers, not warriors, and together, stitch a future worthy of our children, a future where every thread is valued, every voice heard, and every child embraced in the warmth of a truly global humanity.

To utilize the law of attraction, one has to take inspired action. In order to do that, you have to remain open to all possibilities and not get too stuck in what you think things should look like or how they should play out.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) helps us to release stuck energy. It’s a tapping technique that, through tapping certain points on our body, we can help old stored emotions to move through and out of our bodies instead of remaining stagnant and causing us problems.
EFT works with the meridian points the same way acupuncture and acupressure does. Tapping in these certain points signals the brain to release the “fight, flight, freeze, fawn” response. It works for not only emotional release but also for fears and phobias. It can be useful in helping to ease the repercussions of trauma and PTSD.
EFT is also useful to help us reformulate our mindset and belief system into something more helpful. We’re all pretty well understanding these days that from the beginning of our life we’re constantly being programmed by society, culture, people and situations and circumstances in our lives. These programs are often not very helpful and reprogramming can prove to be difficult.
The relation of EFT to stemming. Both of which help us to regulate the nervous system. When paired with affirmations, EFT can be super helpful.

How other countries and cultures have day to day set up more efficiently than we do here in the states. Everything seems to be more family oriented to meet everyone’s needs of food, upkeep and various facets of health.
The day to day basics of what needs to be done for survival is too much for any one person to maintain. Life is a team sport. Everything is meant to be a group effort. Please please please don’t beat yourself up if you struggle with basic daily tasks. It’s a losing battle for any one person under the best of circumstances.
Spain formulates their days so that everyone in the family is on the same schedule. They share in the responsibilities of daily meals and break up the work and school days to allow for rest and family time. The work culture in Germany and China are also discussed in comparison to the U.S.
Many other cultures are more understanding and integrative with children. The standard until recently in the states is that children are to be seen not heard or even in many cases, not even seen. Women are seen as problematic in the workforce because of children. These things have/are shifting thankfully but it’s very new.
Maternity leave is much better in most other developed countries.

We can’t live our lives based on what other people think about our decisions. There’s always going to be people telling us what we want to do is a bad idea. You have to listen to what YOU want. Switching from that external validation to the internal validation.
You don’t want to be on your death bed with regrets. You truly never know what you can or can’t accomplish until you try and give it your best.
It’s perfectly acceptable to try something for a few months and decide you’ve had your fill and it’s not something you would like to continue pursuing.
