We have an emotional guidance system to help us navigate the world. It’s one of the magickal aspects of being human. A super power we all have within us. It just takes a little practice to tap into.
Our emotional guidance system is exactly what it sounds like. A guidance system that speaks to us through our emotions. It’s really quite simple and always on. We just have to learn how to notice it and trust ourselves, our intuition and the mystical energies of the universe to utilize it.
When we can learn to trust the process and follow our emotional guidance system, we can open up worlds of opportunities. Manifesting our best life becomes easier and more automatic. We’re more “in flow” and find less resistance.
Understanding Our Emotional Guidance System
Our emotional guidance system is quite easy to navigate. Using it is inherently within us already, we just have to be aware of it. When something feels good, it means it’s in alignment with our souls and we’re on the right track. You want more of this and should point your life in these feel good directions as often as you can.
When something feels bad, it’s not in alignment with your soul and you’re getting resistance. This means you should turn your path away from it. Take it out of your life or recalibrate it into something different.
Many people get confused when deciphering what their emotional guidance system is saying. What someone may interpret as a “no” may simply be discomfort.
There’s a BIG difference between discomfort and resistance. Discomfort is where growth takes place. It’s challenging us and pushing us to our limits. It sometimes looks like fear or uncertainty.
Resistance is stronger. You can feel it in your bones and every cell of your body. It’ll make you squirm in your seat as your entire being screams “Dislike! Dislike! Dislike!”
Resistance is a call for redirection. Discomfort is a call to continue on. Make it a goal to pay attention and note the differences.
Tapping into your emotional guidance system
Practice tapping into your emotional guidance system every time you make a decision. Try to abandon indecisiveness by the road and train yourself to choose the first thing that comes to mind and trust it to be the right answer.
The easiest way to get into this practice is starting with small decisions that don’t matter much. When thinking of what to eat or wear, what to watch or read, what to type or say. Simple things decisions you encounter on a daily basis. Go with the first thing that pops in your head.
Once you get the hang of these small things, the bigger ones will become easier and you’ll have less doubt surrounding them.
Meditate on what you want the answer to. Clear your mind and allow the answers to flow into your head space. Don’t force it or it won’t happen. Be completely open to receiving the information you need and trust what comes in.
Once you get more practice, it’ll become easier, more automatic and almost impulsive. Like you’re caught in a river of contentment that’s pulling you in the direction of your destiny. You’ll do things and follow your intuition without much thought. This is when you’re in flow and allowing yourself to be guided.
The Emotional Guidance System Spiral
There’s a chart that you can use as a reference guide in understanding and navigating your emotional guidance system. A spiral that lists out all of the positive ‘yes’ emotions and all of the negative ‘no’ emotions.
Our goal should be to make sure we’re staying at the top of the spiral, as high up on it as we possibly can, preferably at the top with ‘love’. We want to hang out in this feeling of love as often as we can. Focus on it and soak it in and try to turn more and more of our emotions into just ‘love’ until we can hold it without effort.
This is where our best life is. Where we’re able to manifest everything that we desire and more. Where effortless flow happens and we find all of the peace, love and happiness we’ve always wanted. Practice holding this emotion for as long as you possibly can.
Tuning into the emotion of unconditional love
Once you get the hang of holding onto the emotion of love, you’ll be able to do it anytime, any where. Until you get to that point, try and find a place to practice where you feel both comfortable and surrounded by beauty. Perhaps a nice scene out in nature.
- Notice your surroundings and how beautiful the elements are as a whole. The shapes, the colors, the magic that is life itself.
- Relax your gaze and take note that you are a part of this beauty, no different. All vibrating energy. Energy to tap into and utilize.
- Begin to take deep breaths, breathing in this energy around you. Imagine it filling you up like a balloon. Hold it in for several seconds before exhaling and allow any tension you hold to exit your body with the breath.
- Find a time when you felt unconditional love. Bring it to the surface starting in your heart center and allowing it to spread out to the rest of your body, extending out into your aura. Hold this state for as long as you can.
If you have a hard time finding a time when you felt this emotion, try imagining what it would feel like. Unconditional love is the base and background vibration of the entire universe. It’s where the magik in this world lies.
