When I started this monthly seasonal eating thing I was expecting there not to be much change between food from month to month. It’s looking though that nature gives us lots of variety! This month’s list is exceptionally different from last month’s!
I couldn’t help but notice that figs aren’t on November’s seasonal eating list although I totally ate some figs straight from a tree at my sister’s house last week. Maybe they were in season in October but not November.
Funny how such little distance makes so much difference.
Anyway, so here’s November’s list:

I’d love to know how you’re doing with seasonal eating! I’m not doing great with it, honestly. That’s ok though. Any sort of trying is better than not. Everything’s a learning process and I’ll get better.
It’s ok to be terrible at something as long as you’re trying. I urge you to be terrible at many things in your life! What I don’t condone is not trying.
Nothing erks me more than someone not trying and then making excuses. BUT ANYWAY
Tell me what’s worked for you and what hasn’t. How do you stick to seasonal eating? What makes it easier? What makes it harder? What recipes do you have to share with us?!
Tell us in the comments! Or you can message me anytime at the green bar to your right or via any social media and I’ll pass it along!

The Doshas
If you don’t know what the doshas are, they’re 3 archetypes described by Ayurveda that describe energies that everyone and everything in life fall into and experience.
That’s a really simplified explanation of them. I plan on doing a post on them eventually when I learn a little more but in a nut shell, they are:
Vata – Ether/Air. Thinkers, creators, wispy and flowing, constant. Thin and dry.
Pitta – Fire/Water. Doers, leaders, transformation, average build, hot natured.
Kapha – Water/Earth. Motherly, caring, Large, Slow, easy going.
Everyone is all three but the degrees of which vary with one primary, another secondary and then the third. Good health is to be balanced between them. Bad health is to be unbalanced in one, two or all three.
And that is your crash course in the doshas just so that I can tell you that seasonal eating is a great way to balance them! I learned that recently completely by chance while listening to the Highest Self Podcast on Spotify.
More to come on all of that later. Make sure you sign up below to get the info when it gets created!
