Ghouls and goblins and germ monsters! Oh my!
If you live in the south, like I do, fall doesn’t really come around until late November ish. We don’t really get the cool crispness that many associate with fall. It’s more like second summer that collides into rainy-football season.
None-the-less, we can take what we’re given and bring the most into our lives with as much of a Autumn-ly and Fall-ish celebration as we can.
If you haven’t yet, download your October Magical Checklist here for a bunch of mostly free and friendly ways to celebrate October!
One of my favorite ways of making this season festive is candles and essential oils. There’s no denying that Fall can be associated with smells. Earthy and grounding, they can help us ease anxiety as the days begin to shorten with the waning sun. A few specific smells of fall can be gotten from essential oils for October!
On Guard for all the Germ Monsters
October is filled with festivities. There’re fall festivals, football shin digs, Halloween parties and trick or treating and of course your basic school and work stuff. We’re interacting with people…and all of their germ monsters.
Hand shakes, hugs, door knobs and just generally being in closed spaces with others gets us exchanging a lot more than laughs and stories.
On Guard will help protect us from environmental threats by supporting our immune systems during these times.
- Diffuse it whenever you can (I even suggest a car diffuser)
- Put a couple of drops in a veggie capsule and take internally
- Add a few drops to water in a spray bottle to use as an all purpose cleaner
- Add a few drops to water and soak apple slices for a healthy immune boosting snack
- Add to fractionated coconut oil in a roller ball to carry with you. Rub on wrists and back of neck.
I’ve always found On Guard to be quite grounding, helping with seasonal anxiety due to shorter days. It smells like fall.
Digest Zen
For when you get a belly ache from eating all of your kid’s candy
With all of the fall festivities we’re attending, it can be hard to stick to our diet ideals. It’s hard to find anything healthy at festivals and parties. Then there’s all the candy.
Digest Zen is a special blend specifically for easing tummy troubles.
- Add a couple of drops to water and take internally
- Rub a couple of drops on stomach with fractionated coconut oil
Breathe
For the sniffles and stuffiness that comes along with this time of year.
Breathe is another great blend specfically formulated to help another common issue. It’ll help open you up so you can…breathe.
- Diffuse
- Rub on hands and smell
- Rub on chest with fractionated coconut oil
We use this in leu of vapor rub. I’d be happy to make something up for you! Message me!
