There are so many different aspects of life to maneuver through and every single one of them seem to need healing before they can function properly. Do we start with our physical health? Our emotional and mental health? What about our relationships?
It can all get incredibly overwhelming. Especially considering that we can’t put life on hold while we figure these things out. Ideally, we could hit the pause button, disappear into nature and spend our days leisurely meditating to understand where and how to direct our attention. No average person has such a luxury, though, do we?
No, the vast majority of us have to heal on the fly as we rush around from one responsibility and obligation to the next. Doing our best to stitch ourselves back together in between beating back spirals and panic attacks. Or is that just me?
Throughout the ages, humanity has long sought remedies for the various physical, emotional, and spiritual ailments that plague our existence. While conventional medicine has made significant strides in alleviating suffering, a growing body of evidence suggests that the key to true healing may lie in understanding and harnessing the power of energy.
Energy, the fundamental life force that animates all existence, permeates every aspect of our being. It flows through our cells, governs our thoughts and emotions, and connects us to the universal life force. By understanding and harnessing the power of energy, we can tap into a profound healing potential that extends far beyond the physical realm.
The Physical Dimension: Energy as the Foundation of Vitality
At the core of our physical health lies the flow of energy and how harmonious it is or is not. When this flow is disrupted, it can manifest in various physical ailments, from chronic pain and fatigue to digestive issues and immune system imbalances. Energy healing practices, such as acupuncture, Reiki, and qigong, work to restore balance and vitality by stimulating specific energy points, allowing energy to flow freely throughout the body.
The Emotional Realm: Energy as the Source of Emotional Well-being
Our emotions, too, are deeply rooted in the energetic field. Negative emotions, such as anger, fear, and sadness, can create blockages in our energy flow, leading to emotional distress, anxiety, and depression. Energy healing techniques, such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and “The Emotion Code” , can help to release these blockages and restore emotional balance, promoting feelings of peace, happiness, and well-being.
The Spiritual Dimension: Energy as the Path to Spiritual Growth
Our spiritual journey is also intertwined with the energetic realm. As we evolve spiritually, our energy expands and vibrates at higher frequencies. Energy healing practices, such as meditation and yoga, can help us connect with our higher selves, raise our vibrational frequency, and experience deeper states of consciousness.
The Energetic Tapestry of Healing: A Holistic Approach
Healing is not a one-dimensional process; it encompasses all facets of our being – physical, emotional, and spiritual. By embracing a holistic approach to healing, we recognize the interconnectedness of these dimensions and the profound impact that energy has on our overall well-being.
Focusing on energy healing can empower us to take charge of our own health and well-being. By understanding and harnessing the power of energy, we can restore balance and vitality to our physical bodies, cultivate emotional harmony, and deepen our spiritual connection, ultimately achieving a state of holistic wellness.
As we embark on this journey of energetic healing, we open ourselves to a profound transformation, not just of our physical bodies, but of our entire existence. We tap into the boundless healing potential that lies within us, paving the way for a life of vitality, balance, and spiritual fulfillment.
Anyway, I had an AMAZING talk with Meghan Jones, Holistic Wellness Coach and Author of 30 Little Thoughts (af) about healing ourselves as a whole individual instead of trying to section ourselves off and work on piece by piece.
We cover some practical and tangible practices to incorporate into even the busiest and fullest of lives so that we can inch our way toward a more whole and healed future.
Show notes:
Beginning – 4:05
Introductions, we discuss how difficult it is to box the unboxable. Focusing on the “why”.
4:05 – 5:20
Healing the world, how we ended up with a world in such dire need of healing. All of the various avenues of healing:
- Mental / emotional health
- Physical health
- Sexual health
- Relationship health
- etc
5:20 – 23:00
Physical health often gets us on our healing journey because it screams the loudest. We discuss some of my own health problems throughout life including hypoglycemia and nutrition. Beans, proteins and gluten are covered.
How food and physical health is the most tangible energy system to work with and healing that radiates out and heals other aspects of your life because it’s all connected.
All bodies need different types of nutrition. We, more often that not, get stuck in the cycles external sources have presented to us instead of going within and listening to what our unique body needs and thrives off of.
Throw out all of the scales and judge your physical process by how you feel.
Again, there is no separation between your food, mind and emotions.
23:00 – 33:20
The chakra system. Meditative practices and how sitting and breathing for simply 2 minutes can make a ton of difference in cultivating the awareness you need to do, think, be better in your day to day practices. Hyper awareness in every moment is the goal.
The tangible versus the intangible entry points to healing. Putting the law of correspondence (as above, so below) to work with cleaning, decluttering and working with your environment.
33:20 – 51:50
My own confessions of what created my battle with limiting food intake.
How you need to see / do / interact with things at least 7 times before you’ll address it. Momentum and how it gets a little easier every time as you peel away layer after layer.
Finding sustainable emotions rather than grasping for the big ones. Ideally, we’re looking to maintain those easy going “Goldilocks Zone” emotions like contentment and gratitude. Big highs and big lows distract us from the ease and flow found in the middle ground.
51:50 – End
Healing is a lifelong quest. Nothing temporary is going to bring you permanent results.
Live on purpose.
