To create success and positivity in your life, you need to heal energy blocks in your body that are hindering you from being great. These blockages, which are most often emotional debris or limiting beliefs but can also stem from lifestyle, can dim your inner fire, holding you back from the success and positivity you crave.
Healing these blocks isn’t a quick fix, but a gentle excavation, unearthing what weighs you down and allowing your light to shine through. It’s like clearing branches from a hidden spring, letting its vibrant flow nourish your every pursuit.
Remember, success isn’t just about external achievements, but about aligning your inner energy with the life you truly desire. It’s a journey of self-discovery to release the shadows and witness your own radiance bloom, painting your life with the vibrant hues of true potential.
Nikola Tesla said,”If you want to find the secrets to the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibrations.” He was way ahead of his time. Or, behind, depending on how you look at it. Since the civilizations of old knew about these sorts of things before the world forgot them.
Though they were never completely abandoned (for good reason) and are now beginning to slowly come back and become common knowledge again. When you understand that everything about yourself has a basis in the same energy, you begin to understand that everything about yourself can be manipulated.
Since energy is neither created nor destroyed, but instead continuously transferred from one place to another, the goal is to harness direct it responsibly toward what you want instead of the default of what you don’t. What I mean is that most of us focus all of our attention on the things we don’t like in life which feeds these things and causes them to grow bigger.
The universal energy field underneath all things connects us and we all have the ability to tap into this field, giving us the potential to collaborate in the greater harmony and collective well-being of not only ourselves but everyone around us as well.
Mainstream understanding of things has left people with a pretty limited idea of what energy is. We label it as not much more than the electrical force that powers our coffee maker, charges our devices and keeps the lights on. When speaking of energy in the body, we generally don’t see it as being deeper than whether we feel tired or not. The truth is far greater and expansive.
Energy powers more than just your drive to get up and do something. It drives your creativity, your ambition, your happiness. Energy flows to every aspect of who you are and powers your ability to feel, think and act upon it all.
When you encounter a problem such as low physical energy, depression or even lack of money, it’s because your flow of energy has encountered a block and needs to be cleared in order to continue to flow properly and get to where it’s suppose to be.
Energy Healing Through the Chakra System
Many people use the chakra system to heal energy flow. The chakra system is a system throughout your body where energy whirlpools, per say, as it flows through the body. When a chakra encounters a block of sorts, you see the results manifest in physical and mental ailments.
Through various practices, individuals seek to clear these blockages and restore the natural flow of energy within the chakras. Yoga postures, breathwork exercises, and even mindfulness meditation can all play a role, gently nudging the energetic wheels back into their optimal spin.
As the chakras realign, practitioners report an array of benefits – from better health and emotional stability to a newfound sense of purpose and vitality. It’s not just about feeling good; it’s about reconnecting with the vibrant flow of life force that animates both ourselves and the universe around us.
Whether you view chakras as literal energy centers or symbolic mirrors reflecting our inner state, exploring this ancient wisdom can be a powerful tool for self-discovery and holistic well-being.
There are estimated to be upwards of tens of thousands of chakras in the body, 114 are recognized as major or minor but for simplicity’s sake we’ll focus on the main seven everyone else pretty well acknowledges.
With chakras being a new concept for most people, it’s best to start small. We don’t want to overwhelm ourselves and generally speaking, the main 7 are plenty.
- The first chakra (Muladhara) is known as the root chakra. It’s associated with survival and instincts and is located at the base of the spine.
- The second chakra (Svadisthana) is known as the sacral chakra. It’s associated with emotion and creativity and is located in the lower abdomen.
- The third (Manipura) is called the solar plexus chakra. It’s associated with confidence and self worth. It’s location is the upper stomach area.
- The fourth (Anahata) is the heart chakra, located at the, you guessed it, heart! It controls love, happiness and peace.
- The fifth (Visuddha) is the throat chakra, located at so and has to do with truth and self expression.
- The sixth chakra (Anja) is the all seeing third eye and is located in the center of the forehead. Intuition, wisdom and imagination stem from it.
- The seventh chakra (Sahasrara) is the crown chakra, located at the top of the head. Connection and spirituality is what it majors in.
When the chakras are all aligned and in tune with one another, you find yourself thriving and able to accomplish anything in your path.
Imagine life as a symphony, each chakra an instrument playing its melody, contributing to the grand harmony of your being. When all your chakras are aligned, it’s like the orchestra finding perfect pitch. The notes blend seamlessly, resonating with vitality and joy. This alignment translates into every corner of your life. You feel a deep sense of well-being, a flow of energy that propels you forward. Goals materialize with seemingly effortless grace, relationships flourish, and your inner light shines brightly.
But life can disrupt the symphony. Unresolved trauma, negative thoughts, or simply the day-to-day hustle can create blockages in your chakras, like misplaced notes silencing their melodies. When they are not all aligned, you have to heal your energy blocks to restore flow.
Just as there are conductors to guide the orchestra, there are paths to restoring your own inner harmony. By delving into various practices, you can become the master of your energy. Yoga postures gently coax the chakras back into alignment, breathwork becomes a cleansing melody, and mindful meditation soothes the dissonance. Each conscious effort is a note contributing to the restoration of your inner symphony.
How do you clear energy blocks?
Healing energy blocks is not about seeking perfection, but about cultivating a dance of self-awareness and growth. Embracing the ebb and flow of your energy, for even discord can hold valuable lessons.
As you clear your blockages and nurture your chakras, the music of your life will gradually crescendo, reaching a vibrant harmony that empowers you to accomplish anything your heart desires.
Cleanse/Detox
Chakras are associated with specific organs and bodily functions. By removing toxins and impurities from the body through practices like diet changes, fasting, or herbal remedies, you may indirectly support the optimal functioning of the associated organs and promote energy flow within the corresponding chakras.
Our world these days is such a toxic one. There are harmful chemicals in nearly everything we touch and use on a daily basis. Regardless of what sort of block you are dealing with, a cleanse or a detox might be a good place to start.
Cleansing and detoxing can heighten your sensitivity to your body’s subtle signals. This awareness can help you identify potential imbalances or blockages in your chakras, empowering you to take further steps towards healing them. These work best with digestion or nutritional issues. If you are prone to colds or general sickness it could mean you have some clogs from toxins or a poor diet.
They can also help with mental blocks too, though. Chemicals can manipulate hormones which can have you all out of whack. It’s that mind body connection thing everyone talks about. If your hormones aren’t balanced, physical and mental blocks alike can be effected.
Many cleansing and detox practices emphasize mindful eating, self-compassion, and connecting with nature. These elements can cultivate a sense of inner balance and harmony, which is conducive to healthy chakra alignment. Cleaning out all the piping will do you some good and fix many issues you may be having. We should all do this routinely every couple of months or so to make sure everything’s clean and flowing properly.
Important notes:
- Always prioritize responsible and safe practices when cleansing or detoxing. Consult a healthcare professional before undertaking any significant dietary changes or using herbal remedies.
- Remember, true chakra healing goes beyond physical cleansing. Addressing negative thoughts, beliefs, and emotional blockages may be equally important for restoring energy flow.
- Cleansing and detoxing are valuable tools for overall well-being, but they shouldn’t be seen as a magic bullet for chakra issues. Approach them with a holistic perspective and combine them with other practices like meditation, yoga, or energy healing for deeper impact.
Eat Correctly
Likewise, balanced and nutritious food provides the building blocks for optimal physical health, which directly impacts the functioning of organs and systems associated with each chakra. For example, eating gut-friendly foods can benefit the second chakra (sacral), while incorporating omega-3s might support the sixth chakra (pineal).
Certain foods are believed to resonate with the specific energies of each chakra. Think of them as fuel for your inner wheels. Choosing vibrantly colored fruits and vegetables, incorporating spices associated with each chakra, and prioritizing whole, unprocessed foods can contribute to their balanced flow.
I wish I could tell you the one specific diet you should eat to have the best results in everything you wish to accomplish. However, the truth of the matter is that everyone is different. What effects one person negatively may not effect another in the least.
It all stems back to your particular ancestors and what they were use to eating. Therefore, evolving your body to process that particular diet efficiently.
The best way to figure out your ideal diet is to experiment with your body. The practice of mindful eating can enhance chakra healing by promoting self-awareness and connection to your body’s signals. When you eat with intention and gratitude, you nourish not just your physical body, but also your energetic field.
Keep a journal of everything you eat and everything you feel so that you can begin to see connections. Adjust your diet appropriately because that’s legitimately the only way to do it. Do you feel bad after eating some dairy? Are you bloated and gassy after eating bread? Did that sugar make you feel anxious?
Your perfect diet is unique to only you.
Limitations:
- Not a quick fix: Addressing energy blockages requires a holistic approach, encompassing emotional and spiritual practices alongside dietary changes. Focusing solely on food might not resolve deeper emotional roots of chakra imbalances.
- Individual variations: What works for one person might not be ideal for another. Different chakra associations with food exist, and it’s essential to listen to your intuition and find what resonates with your unique needs.
- Balanced approach: While nourishing food plays a role, it shouldn’t replace other healing practices like meditation, movement, and emotional processing. Remember, true chakra healing thrives on a multi-faceted approach.
Heal Energy Blocks With Reiki
Reiki is a healing technique used by reiki masters to channel energy through the body to clear blocks and restore flow. They can aid the natural healing process and do wonders for both physical and mental ailments.
Reiki’s magic extends beyond just physical ailments. It can address emotional disturbances, mental tensions, and even spiritual disharmony. Think of it as a balm that soothes the body, mind, and spirit, allowing them to work in harmony towards well-being.
This is a great way to heal energy blocks. Here’s a whole article complete with a podcast episode I did on the subject with an awesome reiki master!
Meditation
Meditation is a potent tool for clearing energy blocks in the chakras. Imagine them as vibrant wheels spinning within your body, governing both your physical and emotional well-being. When these wheels get clogged with negative thoughts, past hurts, or stagnant energy, their flow suffers, manifesting as various imbalances. But through dedicated meditation practice, you can become the gentle mechanic, tuning and unblocking these energy centers.
Here’s how meditation works its magic:
- Focused Awareness: As you settle into stillness, your attention sharpens, allowing you to pinpoint areas of energetic stagnation within your chakras. You might sense heaviness in your root chakra, tightness in your heart, or a disconnect from your crown. This awareness is crucial for targeting your healing efforts.
- Visualization and Intention: Once you identify a blocked chakra, visualization comes into play. Imagine gentle light filtering through its core, dissolving the knots of negativity. Picture it spinning freely, radiating its vibrant energy outward. This focused intention guides the clearing process, gently coaxing the energy back into flow.
- Breathwork and Mantras: Breathwork serves as a powerful catalyst for releasing blockages. Deep, mindful breaths can be directed towards specific chakras, flushing out stagnation and revitalizing their flow. Chanting sacred mantras associated with each chakra (HUM, LAM, OM, etc) can further amplify the energy and enhance the clearing process.
- Self-Compassion and Acceptance: The journey of clearing blocks is not about forceful removal, but about gentle acceptance and loving awareness. As emotions and memories surface during meditation, treat them with kindness and understanding. Allow them to flow through you without judgment, releasing their hold on your energy field.
Meditation’s magic lies in its ability to empower you to become the steward of your own energy. By dedicating time to this practice, you cultivate a harmonious flow within your chakras, unlocking their potential for vibrant health, emotional well-being, and a deeper connection to your authentic self. So, breathe deeply, visualize freely, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and energetic liberation through the transformative power of meditation.
There are tons of meditation practices to help you clear your blocks, as the body is naturally meant to do. You can focus on one chakra at a time by imagining a swirling pool of light or water. See it swirling effortlessly and smoothly, moving from one to the next. You can hold your right hand over each chakra and move it in a circular motion, helping it along if you like.
Since each chakra controls and influences certain aspects of you, both your thoughts and actions, keeping them clear is very important to well rounded physical and mental health. You can meditate on a thought or ailment you would like to clear. You can imagine the word or phrase and see it dissipate from existence.
Practice makes perfect. If you’re new to meditation, it may seem silly at first but just stick with it. Meditation is about exploring your inner world, not just silencing your mind. Trust me, you’ll have good results, and it’ll get easier as you get use to it.
Here’s an article and podcast episode on how to get started with meditation.
Sunlight
Sunlight naturally clears blocks and recharges your energy. Everyone should be getting at least a little sun everyday. Sunlight is a source of Vitamin D, crucial for bone health and mood regulation. It also stimulates serotonin production, contributing to well-being and positive emotions. This overall energy lift could indirectly resonate with and activate the chakras, particularly the lower ones associated with vitality and grounding.
Some traditions associate specific colors of sunlight with different chakras. For example, golden morning sunlight might be linked to the solar plexus chakra (associated with confidence and willpower), while the pinkish hues of sunset might correspond to the heart chakra (connected to love and compassion). Spending time in these specific color spectrums could potentially bring balance to the associated chakras.
Being in nature and basking in sunlight can promote a sense of calm and connection to the Earth’s energy. This grounding experience could benefit all chakras, particularly the root chakra (responsible for feeling safe and secure) and the crown chakra (linked to spiritual connection).
I know it’s harder in the winter. Try opening up all of your curtains to let as much natural light in as possible and I have this “pretend smoking” thing that I talk about. It will help.
Feng Shui
This is one of my absolute favorite things to do! I feng shui everything! Both Feng Shui and chakra balancing focus on the flow of energy. Feng Shui aims to harmonize the energy flow within a space, while chakra balancing seeks to unblock and optimize the flow within your body.
By creating a balanced and harmonious living space through Feng Shui practices like decluttering, intentional placement of objects, and utilizing the five elements, you can indirectly support the free flow of energy in your own body, potentially aiding chakra alignment.
Feng shui is an ancient art of a science that arranges things in specific colors, orders and patterns to allow for optimal qi (energy) flow. A well-organized and harmonious living space created through Feng Shui principles can lead to feelings of calm, relaxation, and overall well-being. This sense of peace and grounding can indirectly benefit your emotional state, potentially easing the release of blockages and allowing your chakras to flow more freely.
It’s super detailed and intricate and deals with the five elements: Earth, water, wood, fire and metal. Any where you spend a lot of time like your house or your workplace should follow the laws of Feng Shui. It focuses on the energy and atmosphere of your living space which can extend to your own inner state, making you more aware of your energy and potential imbalances, potentially leading to a more conscious and focused approach to your chakra healing journey.
Start small. The most important places to start with are your work place and your bedroom since that’s generally where you spend the most time. Don’t worry about all the feng shui rules (unless you just really wanna nerd out on that stuff). Decluttering and cleaning is a great start.
Heal Energy Blocks With Yoga and Breathwork
Yoga postures serve as a gateway to internal observation. By holding poses with stillness and awareness, you become more attuned to subtle sensations and emotions, potentially identifying areas where energy feels stuck or stagnant. This awareness is crucial for understanding and addressing your blockages.
Specific yoga postures target different areas of the body associated with various chakras. For example, gentle twists stimulate the sacral chakra (emotional center), while forward bends work on the heart chakra (love and compassion). By holding these postures mindfully, you can physically release stagnant energy and promote optimal flow.
Yoga helps energy flow by working out the muscles and ligaments. By strengthening the channels and creating space through which energy flows through the body, said energy can flow more efficiently.
Deep, conscious breathing directs prana (vital energy) throughout your body, reaching even the subtlest energetic layers. Techniques like alternate nostril breathing (Nadi Shodhana) can balance your left and right energy channels, while Ujjayi breathing (Victorious Breath) generates internal heat that helps melt stubborn blockages.
Combining postures, breathwork, and meditation creates a powerful synergy that addresses blockages on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels, leading to a more holistic healing experience. The beauty of yoga lies in its adaptability. Different poses and techniques resonate with different individuals and needs. Listen to your body, choose practices that feel supportive, and gradually expand your repertoire as you explore your unique energetic landscape.
Embrace the process with patience and self-compassion. Celebrate each step of your personal evolution, and witness the radiant energy that unfolds within you as you diligently tend to your inner garden through practice. Healing energy blocks, as with anything else in this field, is a journey and not a destination.
I read something once that said (in a nutshell) we have forgotten how to breathe in the energy of the universe, and thus, forgotten in large how to heal, live and be. There are tons of breathing techniques out there all aimed at one specific thing or another. I like to just focus on breathing deeply and often.
Breathing will help you heal, detox, focus and clear any block you need to clear efficiently.
Unplug
We’re swimming in invisible waves, a constant hum of electromagnetic energies buzzing around us. Being around electronics all of the time really messes with our natural energy. The energy from the machines intertwines with our own and causes disruptions.
From our phones pulsing like miniature suns to the constant drone of Wi-Fi, electronics have become an inescapable part of our modern world. But this convenience comes at a cost, one that whispers in the quiet moments, disrupting the delicate balance of our inner landscape.
The consequences of this energetic entanglement are manifold. You might feel a nagging fatigue, a constant low hum of anxiety, or an inability to fully disconnect and truly rest. If we’re constantly plugged in, which most of us are, it can manifest in all sorts of problems; mentally and physically.
Consciously carving out space for disconnect is crucial. Long walks in the sun-dappled woods, mindful moments of silence, and the deliberate grounding of physical activity – these are the detoxes for our energy field. They offer respite from the electromagnetic storm, allowing our chakras to gently untangle and find their natural rhythm.
Taking just thirty minutes or so to get away from our technological world will help you in restoring flow. The more time you take away, the more benefits you’ll see. Remember, you are not just flesh and bone, but a vibrant orb of radiating energy woven into and from the very essence of the universe. Protect your energetic garden, cultivate spaces of natural light and silence, and reclaim the harmony that electronics so easily disrupt. Only then can you truly blossom, your chakras singing in vibrant resonance with the symphony of life itself.
Mindset
Mindset is everything. The way you think and speak directly relates to your actions and the energy you put out into the world. A positive mindset fosters self-awareness, allowing you to observe your emotions, reactions, and recurring patterns. This awareness is key to identifying potential energy blockages, those stagnant places where your “chi” isn’t flowing freely.
You get back what you put in right? If you only put out negative energy, you will only receive negative in turn. Like wise, if you put out positive, you will receive positive. Very simple math.
Limiting beliefs often act as invisible walls around our chakras, restricting their growth and potential. A positive mindset empowers you to challenge these limiting narratives, replacing them with affirmations and self-compassion that break down the walls and allow energy to flow again.
Pay attention to how you speak. Instead of things like “I don’t have any money” try, “I’m going to go find me some money.” You speak your truth and that creates your reality. No matter what your truth is, you get to decide.
We can get really hung up on this one because well, those undesirable things may very well be happening. The trick is to try your best to PAY them no attention because that payment makes them grow and we don’t want to give our assets to such things.
Gratitude acts like sunshine on your chakras, warming them and encouraging their vibrancy. Focusing on what you appreciate expands your energy field and naturally loosens blockages formed by negativity or resentment.
Holding onto anger and hurt creates knots within your chakras, impeding their natural flow. A forgiving mindset, while not about condoning others’ actions, allows you to release these knots and free yourself from the burden of negativity, allowing your energy to move freely.
A positive mindset isn’t just about thinking happy thoughts. It translates into healthy habits, like exercising regularly eating nutritiously, and getting enough sleep. These practices nurture your physical well-being, which directly impacts your energetic flow and chakra alignment.
Embracing a growth mindset allows you to view challenges as opportunities for learning and evolution. This openness helps you navigate the process of clearing energy blocks with patience and self-compassion, recognizing them as stepping stones on your journey towards greater inner harmony.
Obviously, I can speak on this topic for a long while. Here’s another article on it if you’d like to go more in depth.
There are a ton of ways to heal. Which is all clearing energy blocks is. Finding what works best for you is about trying out different modalities to see which ones help you the most. Some may help now and not later. Some may help later but don’t now. We’re all always changing, evolving and shifting so keep an open mind and try not to write anything off entirely.
