The idea that energy is all that there is, or “energeticism,” is a complex concept that finds expression in various traditions, from ancient Eastern philosophies to modern physics. This view proposes that everything – physical matter, thoughts, emotions, even consciousness – can be understood as different manifestations of a single underlying energy field.
Understanding “blocks” in this flow requires acknowledging the subtle energy field and how it encompasses and animates our physical bodies. Matter is (in a nutshell) this energy (which also may be defined as sound as a vibrational frequency wave), solidified.
This field interacts with the physical and affects our well-being on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. When this energy flow becomes blocked or stagnant, it can manifest as various types of issues:
- Physical: Pain, fatigue, illness, and difficulty manifesting desired physical results.
- Emotional: Anxiety, depression, fear, difficulty experiencing positive emotions like joy, peace, etc
- Mental: Confusion, lack of focus, difficulty with creativity and/or problem-solving, etc
- Spiritual: Feeling disconnected from oneself, nature, others and a sense of purpose.
- Relational: Misunderstandings, conflict, difficulty maintaining healthy relationships.
- Quality of life: Struggling with basic needs, money, poor environmental situations, etc
Energy blocks are formed from a myriad of things. In a general sense, anything that is out of alignment with who you are at your best may create an energetic block.
Imagine your inner energy like a flowing river, its current strong and vibrant. Now, picture rocks and debris tumbling in, slowing its pace. Maybe even creating stagnant pools where more debris becomes stuck.
These are energy blocks, formed not from one source, but a multitude. They can be deeply personal, like past hurts or limiting beliefs, or external forces like stress and negativity. Anything that throws you off balance, disconnects you from your authentic self, or casts shadows on your inner light can contribute to these energetic dams.
The key is to identify the blockages, whether whispers or roars, and gently clear the riverbed, allowing your energy to flow freely once more. Remember, it’s not about removing every pebble, but fostering a flow that reflects your true self, sparkling and unstoppable.
Some things that cause this stagnant flow:
- Trauma: Unresolved emotional experiences can create energetic blockages in the form of unfavorable energy patterns. It’s important to note that trauma doesn’t have to be some grand thing that happened. We experience trauma when we encounter things that change us in an unproductive and undesirable way, both individually and collectively.
- Negative thoughts and beliefs: Limiting beliefs and self-doubt can impede the flow of positive energy.
- Misalignment with your true self: Living inauthentically or disconnected from your purpose can create energetic imbalances.
Healing energy blocks is a personal journey. Experiment with different techniques and find what resonates most with you. Start small, be patient, and trust your intuition as you guide your energy towards greater flow and harmony.
Physical practices:
- Movement and breathwork: Yoga, tai chi, and even mindful dancing can help release stagnant energy through physical expression. Deep breathing exercises like pranayama can also clear blockages and revitalize your energy flow.
- Meditation and visualization: Guided meditations and visualizations can help identify and release specific energy blocks. Imagine the block dissolving, or picture light flowing through it, clearing the way for positive energy.
- Bodywork and energy therapies: Practices like Reiki, acupressure, and massage can work directly with the energy field, helping to move blockages and restore balance.
Emotional and mental techniques:
- Journaling and introspection: Reflecting on your emotions and experiences can help uncover the root causes of energy blocks. Write down your feelings and fears, then release them symbolically by burning the paper or tearing it into pieces.
- Self-forgiveness and acceptance: Holding onto guilt or blame can create energetic blockages. Practice self-compassion and forgiveness to release these blockages and allow positive energy to flow.
- Positive affirmations and self-talk: Replace negative thoughts with positive affirmations that resonate with your authentic self. Repeating phrases like “I am worthy” or “I am free” can help shift your energy and clear limiting beliefs. Here’s more information on those if you need it.
Lifestyle and environmental changes:
- Spending time in nature: Immerse yourself in the natural world. Connecting with nature can be grounding and cleansing, helping to clear energetic blockages and restore balance.
- Mindful living: Practice mindfulness in everyday activities like eating, walking, and working. By focusing on the present moment, you can release past hurts and anxieties that may be contributing to energy blocks.
- Healthy habits: A balanced diet, regular exercise, and sufficient sleep are crucial for your overall well-being and can also support the clearing of energy blocks.
Okay, so now that we’ve covered some basics of energy healing, let’s dive into this episode where we touched on a few of these concepts. We’re going to have to start doing 3hr long episodes like Joe Rogan. There’s never enough time in an hour to get to everything we want!
Beginning –
Discussing Sheree’s podcast and how it got it’s name “About Healing”. Divine alignment and universe led “knowing”.
5:00 –
We are a human but we are also a spirit. When one aspect of ourselves is out of alignment, so are the other aspects of ourselves. It starts in the spiritual – emotional realm and then manifests as ailments in the physical body.
The chakras help us to pinpoint what emotional issue is spurring the physical problem. For example, a head cold is linked to the third eye chakra and may be a result of doubting one’s decisions, lost trust in one’s self or others, and other 3rd eye key points. A cough is connected to the heart chakra and may be a result of a heartbreak in some way. A bladder infection may be an instability in the root chakra.
Self awareness is the key to helping yourself and those around you. For so long we’ve been taught to ignore our emotions. The more we suppress our emotions, the more out of alignment we are.
When we don’t take the time to check in with ourselves and care for our needs, these suppressed energies force us to slow down and address the issues with illness. Slowing down enough to do this has become harder for us with our modern culture that prioritizes and glorifies the hustle and productivity over rest.
10:35 –
Creating balance in your life is hard even when you’re aware of it and consciously working towards it. We have to learn how to delegate and ask for help when things get to be more than we can handle because we don’t want to dance with burnout if we can help it.
Especially those as entrepreneurs and/or spiritual leaders, we feel as though being self sufficient means having to do it all on our own. We don’t like to bother people with our needs. We tend to feel like it’s easier to just push ourselves to our limits rather than ask for help.
Finding balance means having plenty of the “yin” energy in there too. Sometimes taking a nap is the most productive thing we can do for ourselves, our businesses and everyone around us.
Many times our need to “go, go, go” stems from external validation and trying to fulfill our sense of worthiness.
16:10 –
You have to figure out what works for you. Naps help some, hurt others.
Know what your energy quota is. What tasks are worth your time and energy? How much/many of these tasks do you need to accomplish in order to meet your quota and allow yourself to rest?
A lot of our stress is put on us by ourselves. A lot of the chaos in our lives is created by our own energy, whether it involves others or not. Chaotic energy attracts and creates more chaotic energy.
We don’t only pick up on all of the energy around us but we also effect the energy around us. Especially those of us who are energetically and emotionally sensitive people. Alone time is what recharges those of us who are clairsentient.
Learning how to create space in your life can give you more energy to do the things in your life that brings you joy. Many clairsentient people find themselves in healing and caregiver roles which are notoriously more demanding and draining. Allowing yourself to find plenty of rest gives you more to give back to others.
22:45 –
We cannot do these important lightwork-healer jobs without assistance.
Schedule in self care time if that’s what you need to do.
The only people who think we’re selfish for prioritizing self care are those who have their own self judgement thoughts projecting them onto us.
Historically, we feared judgement because outcasts didn’t survive. Nowadays, it’s safe to be yourself and follow what you need, be who you want to be and live your life authentically. As children, we begin collecting all of these stories and beliefs that conform ourselves into boxes of safety. We think we can’t XYZ, because someone else did and we didn’t like their outcome so we naturally protect ourselves from the same fate.
30:50 –
We are first and foremost, souls. Ego separates after life. There is no “good” and “bad”, everything is just an experience.
We choose to come here in order to have an experience so that we may understand the contrast of things. Choosing opposing lives to understand the difference. We may come into one life as the abuser and we’ll choose our next life to experience the side of the victim.
We do collect trauma though and don’t know what to do with it so we carry it around.
Everyone minimizes their own trauma and the trauma of others. Trauma doesn’t have to be this big grand thing that happened. It’s any unresolved emotions you’re carrying around that is taking a toll on your mental or physical wellbeing.
36:20 –
In order to thrive, you have to go within yourself and do the hard work required to release false beliefs, unhelpful stories and heal. Learning how to let go of the baggage you’ve been carrying around takes courage, but we’re not born with courage. We have to cultivate it.
We cultivate our courage by living in our truth. By letting go of the expectations, judgements and boxes of others and reclaiming all of the power that we’ve been giving away through people pleasing.
You have to love yourself into healing which means letting go of external validation. You’re the only one who can love yourself into a better reality.
38:00 –
The term “lightworker” is anyone who is trying to do good in the world. Not just spiritual “woo-woo” people. Creating peace on Earth happens in layers. War makes no sense.
The world is a much safer place for us to live and speak our truth than it was in the past. This safety has given us an opportunity to take our power back from those who had silenced us with their judgements and opinions throughout history.
It doesn’t have to be a grand gesture. You don’t have to go out and start a soapbox. The real stuff is finding your voice and truth within your inner circles. Not needing to argue and fight but instead respectfully decline anything that doesn’t feel in alignment with you and your values.
There is not a single truth that blankets every human on Earth.
42:55 –
With each truth we step into, we’re allowed to shed the thick layers that have been holding us down and back from progress.
As we do this, our vibrational frequency rises and relationships that don’t match that frequency may fall away. Others will fall into your orbit though. There’s always an exchange of energy. As some don’t appreciate the work you’re doing here, others will support you on your journey.
Energy is the only language that communicates across the board. Even those who speak the same vernacular can misunderstand one another. Don’t get hung up on words. Focus on the energy behind the words.
People have to choose to heal. We can only heal ourselves. We can’t do it for anyone else.
It’s a very good skill to learn to just smile and nod and be unattached to how and what people do, say, believe and choose. Having those boundaries are a form of self care but definitely take a lot of practice for most of us to hold.
