I’ve recently started taking Tai Chi classes. Even though I’ve only been going twice a week (didn’t make it EVERY week) for about a month, I’m already seeing huge results! Since my Tai Chi journey is still extremely new, I’ve asked my friends over at Ten Minute Tai Chi to tell ya’ll a little bit about how amazing it is! Best Vibes Always, S.S.Blake
To keep up with all that we have to do, many tend to overload their plate. This creates a style of life that does not leave much room for fun. A busy lifestyle can be stressful and forces you be creative to get done all that you need to. Ten Minute Tai Chi is perfect for the person that has a busy lifestyle. Here is why:
1. Tai Chi Can Be Done Anywhere
Getting a quality workout in at the gym every day can be nearly impossible for the person that has a busy life. With the amount of time the commute to the gym takes, there are several items that you can check off your to-do list. Going to your regular gym can be hassle when you travel. Many hotels will have an elliptical or treadmill but it is not the same level of workout that you get from your gym. Ten Minute Tai Chi does not have the hindrance of a permanent location. You can take Ten Minute Tai Chi wherever you go. This mobility allows you to take part in a workout during your lunch break, on the sidelines of a soccer game, and even at the airport.
2. Tai Chi Promotes Improved Flexibility
Flexibility is very important to your health. It can make your cardio activity easier, improve your posture, and allows you to get more comfortable. Exercise helps to increase your flexibility; however, you do not need to go to the gym for hours to become more flexible. You can do this in only ten minutes of exercise.
3. Ten Minute Tai Chi Only Takes 10 Minutes!
When you have a busy schedule, getting an hour to workout can be difficult. Some days are better than others but the common theme is that it is difficult to squeeze it in. On the days where you just can’t, Ten Minute Tai Chi can. Ten Minute Tai Chi only takes ten minutes out of your day but gives you all the benefits of Tai Chi workout. You can get a quality workout without the time needed for a regular workout.
4. Forces You to Take a Minute to Yourself
One common problem that people with busy lives face is the lack of ability to have a moment to themselves. With a list of things on your to-do list, it can be very hard to take that time you need for yourself. Tai Chi utilizes meditation throughout the workout. This much-needed break from reality is vital to help you get through the rest of your day.

5. Tai Chi Promotes Self-Confidence
Confidence is just as important to your health as any other organ or muscle based factor. Confidence is the knowledge that you add value or are good at something. This feeling helps to keep you moving forward. It aids in making you happy and more attractive. Working out for even ten minutes can help bring you much needed confidence to get you through your day.
6. Tai Chi Helps to Lower the Risk of Heart Disease
The leading cause of death in the USA is heart disease. According to the American Heart Association, “cardiovascular disease is the leading global cause of death, accounting for more than 17.3 million deaths per year”. Working out for at least ten minutes a day can help lower your risk of getting heart disease.
7. Tai Chi Helps Increase Range of Motion
Increased range of motion helps to prevent future injury. This is important to virtually everyone. Some injuries would not be nearly as painful or devastating if the range of motion was increased. Athletes specifically benefit from this. Athletes are constantly putting strain on their body and getting injuries such as rolled ankles and pulled muscles. This could be prevented with increased range of motion.
8. Tai Chi Gives You Energy
When you are running around all day, you tend to feel depleted. The common remedy for this is caffeine. But caffeine is not always a healthy alternative. Tai Chi can give you the energy you need to start your day or to keep you going throughout the day without a caffeine crash. Tai Chi focuses a lot on your breathing and is known to better your circulation. By creating a more efficient oxygen intake, your blood can give your brain the oxygen it needs to function and thus give you the energy that you need.
9. Tai Chi Will Boost Cardiovascular Fitness
Cardiovascular fitness allows you to keep moving. Your heart, blood cells, and lungs are able to provide your muscle tissues with the blood that they need to get the energy needed to perform actions. The more fit you are, the more your body can perform before in fatigues. Ten minutes of exercise can help to increase your cardiovascular fitness.
