Ever since I had PUPPPs, my skin is stupid sensitive. Even the most gentle of things breaks me out in itchy hives even though I’m 4 months postpartum (There are still patches of PUPPPs rash on my chest, hip and fingers). It also left me with skin that’s super dry. My lips are just one place on my body that’s still suffering.
My lips stay chapped all of the time. But any chapstick I use causes what seems like chemical burns which are painfully annoying and ugly. The only lip balm I’ve been able to find that doesn’t do this to me is this beeswax based homemade stuff I bought at the Fiddler’s Convention two years ago and it was running out fast.
I bought new brand after new brand and everything gave me these chemical burns. So I decided to make my own. I was surprised at how simple it was! It took me less than an hour and made a ton!
4 Ingredients
- 4TBS Coconut oil
- 4TBS Beeswax
- 1TBS Vitamin E oil
- 15 drops Wild Orange Essential oil
- Place a glass container of some sort (I used a glass measuring cup) in a pot of shallow boiling water.
- Add beeswax and coconut oil.
- Stir until all is completely melted.
- Take off heat.
- Add Vitamin E and essential oil.
- Stir until mixed.
- Pour into containers of choice.
- Allow to cool.
That’s it! This lip balm works great, tastes great and doesn’t give me the chemical burns I was enduring! Perhaps my lip struggles are over!
Do enjoy, share with your family and friends and as always, Best vibes!
