I believe in mindful eating. Never dieting. A diet is often temporary changes stacked tall with strict rules and regulations that are seemingly impossible to follow and not starve to death.
They stress us out and leave us in a state of perpetual hunger.
Positive dietary changes are suppose to raise our vibrations. They’re suppose to make us feel lite and energetic, satisfied and whole on many levels.
Often though, they’re superficial and guilt ridden. An unfulfilling sneak, forever twisting your life into a difficult maze of progress only to take all of your rewards with them when they leave.
Which they always inevitably do because of their high demands and unsustainability.
Take Back Your Power
The solution I offer up is mindful eating. Not something with rules and guidelines but rather something that emanates freedom. It puts the power back into your own hands.
We are all are own unique people with our own unique bodies, ideologies and interests. A diet invented by someone else for their body, beliefs and lifestyle MAY work for you, but often it doesn’t.
Mindful eating opens up your possibilities. It helps you to explore your own body and what it likes, dislikes and craves (healthy cravings. Not like, ya know, sugar).
It helps us to grow through learning about our food and how it reacts with our bodies.
- Is that soda/cake/coffee giving you anxiety?
- Is that bread/cheese/milk causing your heart burn?
- What is inflammation?
- Can food cause your focus problems?
- Your energy problems?
Mindful eating helps us know ourselves better and fully. Not only are we becoming more in touch with our physical existence by practicing it, but we become more in touch with who we are on a mental and spiritual level as well.
It gives us the power over our lives that we should of had all along. Allows us to reign over our own existence. No longer a slave to society and how we’ve been conditioned to live.
Feed All Levels of Your Existence
Our food is not only meant to nourish our bodies, but to feed and nourish our minds and souls as well. It’s a spiritual practice that we have mostly lost touch with.
When done properly, it can free our minds and aid us in thriving in all areas of life.
Take a few minutes to meditate (or a long contemplation) on the food you’re eating right now on a day to day basis.
- Does it help or hurt your body?
- Does it leave you feeling guilty or lower your self esteem?
- Do you feel led in a particular direction or called to change your diet in a certain way?
- Does it connect you with the earth and your fellow beings or does it leave you feeling disconnected?
Through mindful eating, you can find what works for you on a multi-dimensional level, clearing a whole layer of blocks and opening yourself up to possibilities in your life that you never thought possible.
Connect to the Oneness
Mindful eating is a simple concept. It consists of paying more attention to what you’re putting into your body and how it makes you feel. It’s about understanding the energy in the food and the consequences on both a personal and environmental level.
Mindful eating can do all of the things for you that you’d expect from any diet and so much more.
Besides improved health and fitness (which also means improved confidence and self esteem), you can also gain better insight into who you are on a deeper level, connect with your intuition and gain more control over your energy.
It can help you become a better influence on the world and others. Making mindful decisions that are better for the environment and our planet as a whole.
When you really choose your food based on a mental and spiritual level also, you find yourself consuming more positive energy filled goods instead of those that pollute, harm and kill.
Make It Your Own
It’s up to you to decide what your mindful diet looks like. It’s not an overnight change but a gradual and consistent one that becomes part of you and your lifestyle, gaining lasting results through easily sustainable changes.
It may be simple or it may be complicated depending on the level of connectivity you hold with yourself and the world around you.
You can go into it with an open mind to see where the wind (and your intuition) takes you or you can begin it with the purpose to eliminate one thing or another such as gluten or sugar.
You may decide to explore veganism or the dairy free lifestyle. The journey is yours to claim in whatever manner you decide. Let your mind, body and spirit lead you to where you need to be.
Mindful eating has helped me to cure some health concerns I had and also to become more in touch with who I am and what I’m meant to be in this world. I can offer guidance and support.
A road map in how to begin and advice for when you meet a block in your way. I can be your companion so that you don’t walk alone.
Message me and tell me you’d like to explore mindful eating. There’s no harm in having a conversation.
